On 10 June, Dr. Juli Peterson, DVM, in coordination with LLOYD, Inc.’s Sales and Marketing department, filmed a 5-minute television segment on the need for annual checkups for companion animals.  The segment, sponsored by LLOYD, Inc., will be aired as part of the Balancing Act television show on the Lifetime Channel. Dr. Peterson will discuss the reasons for annual checkups, including companion animals living longer and thus experiencing diseases related to aging. Annual checkups allow for diagnosis of disease conditions that may go unnoticed by pet owners. Dr. Peterson will emphasize the importance of taking an active part in managing the health of four-legged family members.  The segment will be aired on August 24th and September 14th

LLOYD, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of their newest addition to the veterinary injection family of products, Butorphic® (butorphanol tartrate) sterile solution, a staple in veterinary analgesia. Butorphic (10mg/mL) will be packaged in convenient 20 mL, multi-use, vials with an economical price point typically limited to larger 50 mL purchases. “We are proud to introduce yet another key product offering in our line of veterinary sedative and analgesic injections” states LLOYD’s Director of Sales & Marketing, Hoan Tran. “Butorphic will offer veterinarians the quality routine-use opiate they currently purchase at an economic value unavailable in the marketplace today.”

Butorphic® was launched officially at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas. The product will be available for shipment at the end of March 2010.
