Levothyroxine (T4) is a naturally circulating thyroid hormone produced by the canine thyroid gland. Levothyroxine sodium provided by Thyro-Tabs® tablets cannot be distinguished from levothyroxine endogenously secreted from the dog's thyroid gland.
